There have been quite a few urban anthologies in Bollywood but if we have to name one that stood out, it has to be Anurag Basu's Life In A Metro. While the makers were planning a sequel for the movie, they were not sure about whom to cast. However, the latest update is producer Bhushan Kumar has joined hands with Basu to create yet another urban anthology, a sequel to Life In A Metro, but this time with a different cast. The upcoming movie titled Metro...In Dino will feature Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur in the leading roles.
Anurag Basu took to social media and announced Life In A Metro's sequel titled Metro...In Dino. In a movie that seems to be about the life of millennials and Gen-Z, he has collaborated with two leading Bollywood actors - Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan. Alongside the two, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh have also come on board.
Produced by T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions, Metro...In Dino will portray complications and stories about contemporary relationships. With a fresh story, the audience is also in for a treat as they will be seeing a fresh on-screen pairing of Sara and Aditya.
Ecstatic about the collaboration, producer Bhushan Kumar said, "Working with Anurag dada has always been a treat! Stitching a story out of parallel lives together in a film with a contemporary twist, none better than dada could helm this ship. We are elated to join hands with him yet again for Metrohellip In Dino. While he brings about the magic with a gripping story, Pritam will be adding his charm with the music enhancing the experience entirely. We are surely looking out for this one.'
The mastermind behind Metro...In Dino, Basu said, "Metrohellip In Dinois a tale of the people and for the people! It has been a while I am working on this one and I am glad to be collaborating with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar yet again who has always been like a pillar to me! The storyline is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them. As music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn't be more happy to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work.'
Life In A Metro, the first part of the romantic drama featured Shilpa Shetty, Irrfan Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kay Kay Menon, Konkana Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Shiney Ahuja.
