Armaan Malik Did Not Want Amaal Malik To Join Bigg Boss 19, Shares His Reaction

Bigg Boss is back with a new season and newer faces but with the same OG Salman Khan swag. Bigg Boss 19 premiered with full fanfare, and the host introduced 16 fresh contestants one of them was musician Amaal Malik. His decision to participate in the reality show surprised many, including his own brother.

However, Armaan Malik was extremely supportive as he cheered for his elder brother's Bigg Boss journey. Taking it to X (formerly Twitter), Armaan shared Amaal's announcement on the platform and wrote, "Jeet ke aana Sher Khan, break a leg! (Just not literally) (Come back with the winner's trophy, Sher Khan).'


As soon as he shared the post, fans took to the comment section and asked for the singer's reaction to Amaal stepping into the Bigg Boss house.

To which, he said, 'Obviously, it was never for it, but ab Amaal bhai sahab ko kaun samjhaye. Anyway, boarding school samajhke kuch masti karke aajaye wapas. Bahut gaane pending hai. ("Obviously, I was never in favour of it, but now who can explain anything to Amaal bhai sahab? Anyway, let him treat it like boarding school, have some fun, and come back soon. We have a lot of songs pending.)'

Even Salman Khan was equally surprised seeing Amaal Malik's name on the roster of contestants. He said he was sceptical about the musician joining the show.

'Your songs are doing well, your shows are doing well. I didn't think you'd actually go through with it,' the Tiger 3 actor told Amaal.

The musician gracefully credited Salman for being a turning point in his career and said, 'You gave me that start 10 years ago. Today, I'm doing something completely different mdash and once again, you're a part of it. You're lucky for me.'


Bigg Boss 19 contestant list

The new season of the much-awaited show kickstarted with a grand premiere and a dynamic mix of contestants from different walks of life. While they all connect to the entertainment industry, the list is rather interesting.

The confirmed line-up includes musician Amaal Malik, TV actor Gaurav Khanna, actor Ashnoor Kaur, content creators Awez Darbar and Nagma Mirajkar, stand-up comedian Pranit More, actor Neelam Giri, YouTuber Mridul Tiwari, and model Nehal Chudasama.

Shehbaz Badesha, Baseer Ali, Abhishek Bajaj, Zeeshan Quadri, Tanya Mittal, Farrhana Bhatt, Hunar Hale, Shafaq Naaz, Payal Dhare (Payal Gaming), Natalia Janoszek, Siwet Tomar, and Khank Waghnani are also in the house.

Bigg Boss 19 will stream daily on JioHotstar at 9:00 pm.
