Bollywood is all about breakups, patch-ups, affairs, weddings, and everything in between. While many stay loyal to their partners after becoming successful in the film industry, not everyone can handle fame with a pinch of salt. One of them was Ayushmann Khurrana.

The Vicky Donor actor, who became a household name after winning the first season of the TV reality show Roadies, let fame get to his mind. While he tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Tahira Kashyap, there was a time when he called it quits with her.

In a recent interview, Ayushmann Khurrana recalled how he started gaining attention from girls after winning Roadies, which ended his years-long relationship with his now wife.

In 2004, when the actor won the adventure reality series Roadies, the fame that led to it changed his life. He was only in his teenage years back then. Ayushmann sat down for a candid chat with Mashable Mehfil and recalled the decisions he regrets the most.

'It is very difficult to deal with fame when you are 16, 17, and in your teens. I remember breaking up with my then-girlfriend because I was getting attention from other girls. I went through that phase when you're just getting a taste of fame and popularity,' the Andhadhun actor said.

He further recalled how winning Roadies made him a rather popular face in his hometown, Chandigarh, which eventually led to more work and unending attention. This made him call it quits with Tahira Kashyap, as he wanted to 'live his life to the fullest.'

Recalling the beginning of his career in the entertainment industry, Ayushmann Khurrana said, 'I was the most popular guy in Chandigarh at that time, and I broke with Tahira, saying that 'I want to live my life' but after 6 months, I went back to her and told her, 'I can't do this anymore, f*** boy nahi ban sakta main.'

The actor-singer eventually married his childhood sweetheart in 2008 and has two adorable children. Years after becoming a video jockey and hosting several TV shows, Ayushmann got his big Bollywood break with the 2012 release of Vicky Donor.

He was last seen in Dream Girl 2, alongside Ananya Panday.
