Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 21: Telugu Release to Help Push to 50 Crore

Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava has become the highest-grossing film of 2025, smashing multiple box office records. The historical drama continues to dominate, with its global box office collection predicted to enter the 650 crore mark. As of now, the film has made a total business of 641.70 crore worldwide.

Strong Performance at the Box Office

On its third Thursday (Day 21), Chhaava minted 3.95 crore net at the domestic box office. With this, the film's total earnings in India now stand at 482 crore, just over 16 crore away from entering the prestigious 500-crore club. The film has already crossed 80 crore net in its third week, proving its lasting impact.

Chhaava has shown incredible consistency since its release. It earned 219.25 crore net in its first week, followed by 180.25 crore net in its second week. On Day 20 alone, it added another 6.15 crore to its total haul. With the upcoming Telugu-language release on March 7, the film is expected to receive a boost in earnings, helping it maintain momentum and cross the 500-crore mark soon.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and based on Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel Chhava, Chhaava tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, with Rashmika Mandanna portraying Maharani Yesubai. Their powerful performances have won the hearts of audiences across India.

Praise from Political Leaders

The film's historical significance and portrayal of Sambhaji Maharaj's life have garnered praise from political leaders. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the film during a special screening organised for MLAs and MLCs.

Speaking about its impact, he said, 'A very beautiful movie has been made. Our colleague minister, Aditi Tatkare, has organized this screening today for all MLAs and MLCshellipThose who wrote history did a lot of injustice to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, but through this movie, his valour, bravery, cleverness, intelligence, knowledgemdashall these aspects of his life are coming in front of the public. And the way Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj continuously protected Swarajya after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, his sacrifice is coming in front of the people through this. I would like to congratulate the producers of this film and the entire team.'

With the Telugu release on the horizon and its record-breaking run, Chhaava is poised to reach the 500-crore milestone and cement its place in cinematic history.
