It was in 2001 when Farhan made his directorial debut with Dil Chahta Hai, a classic Bollywood hit. 2. Lakshya - 2004

Lakshya, an underrated masterpiece, was a story about a directionless Karan Shergill (Hrithik Roshan) who was inspired to join the Indian Army. They say it is nearly impossible to recreate or rather do your own version of a cinema classic, especially when it was led by the legendary Amitabh Bacchan. The actor's resemblance with the OG Milkha Singh was highly uncanny. While it did wonders at the box office, this Bollywood movie also proved how accomplished of an actor Farhan is.
