On Monday, the music composer Palash Muchhal was spotted emerging from the airport in the company of his mother, Amita Muchhal mdash marking his first public outing since the abrupt postponement of his wedding with cricketer Smriti Mandhana.

Dressed head-to-toe in black and carrying a book, Palash walked out holding his composure, quietly making his way toward his vehicle with security in tow.

Though he didn't shy away from cameras altogether, he kept a low profile: no responses to the paparazzi, no flashing smiles mdash just a reserved, calm demeanour.

At one point, his mother was seen greeting someone who touched her feet, a humble gesture captured on video and shared widely on social media.

The sighting comes after a turbulent few days for Palash and Smriti. Their wedding mdash scheduled for November 23 mdash was called off after Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was rushed to hospital following a medical emergency.

The very next day, Palash himself was admitted to hospital after complaining of chest discomfort.

According to doctors, the scare was not due to a heart condition but was stress-related. 'Palash's condition appears to be linked to stress-related distress rather than a serious cardiac event,' said Dr Dipendra Tripathi.

Since then, the once-romantic buzz around their marriage has been replaced by swirling rumours of infidelity mdash claims that neither Palash nor Smriti have addressed publicly.

Meanwhile, both have quietly changed their Instagram bios to display a 'nazar' (evil-eye) emoji mdash a subtle, shared gesture that many interpreted as a sign of solidarity amid the noise.

For now, the only confirmed facts are these: the wedding has been postponed, health scares affected both families, and Palash has returned to public view with a subdued presence mdash no major statements, no explanations, just a glimpse of life softly resuming after upheaval.
