Lights, camera, couture! Bollywood heavyweight Karan Johar is entering uncharted territory by launching India's first fashion reality show, Pitch To Get Rich.

Backed by his Dharmatic Entertainment banner and set to stream on JioHotstar, the show promises high-stakes drama, designer ambitions, and star power.

What is Pitch To Get Rich?

Over the course of eight episodes, 14 emerging fashion founders from across India will compete mdash not just on creativity and style, but also business acumen.

These rising designers will be put through real-world challenges: pitching ideas, producing collections on tight deadlines, and navigating the pressure cooker world of fashion entrepreneurship.

At stake: a staggering funding pool of Rs. 40 crore to support their growth, production, and brand expansion.

The Dream Team: Hosts, Mentors amp Guests

Karan Johar will front the show as host and one of the guiding voices behind it. Joining him as investment mentors is a power-packed lineup, including Akshay Kumar and Navin Jindal.

A Platform for Undiscovered Talent

A key mission of Pitch To Get Rich is to bridge the gap between designers in smaller towns and the global spotlight.

As Sanjay Nigam, founder of the Fashion Entrepreneur Fund, puts it, 'There is a huge gap. Youngsters are coming up with good, fresh designs, and they have the capability to become global brands.'

By democratising access, the show hopes to spotlight hidden talents from regions that often go unnoticed in India's fashion circuits.

Launch, Buzz amp Expectations

The premiere of Pitch To Get Rich is slated for 20 October 2025 on JioHotstar. With a star-studded roster, a hefty prize pool, and an underdog narrative, the show is already generating excitement across entertainment and fashion media.

As India's fashion industry continues to grow, this show lands at a moment when visibility, infrastructure, and funding are more critical than ever. Pitch To Get Rich could well become the springboard many talented designers have been waiting for.

Stay tuned mdash because soon, India's fashion dreams won't just stay in sketchbooks.
