India woke on Wednesday morning to the significant news of 'Operation Sindoor'. The Indian Armed Forces executed precise strikes against nine terror launch pads across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). This decisive action was a response to the tragic Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, which claimed 26 innocent lives and sent shockwaves across the nation. As details of the operation emerged, a chorus of praise and support for the armed forces resonated from the Indian film industry, with Bollywood celebrities taking to social media to express their solidarity and pride.
Bollywood Salutes the Brave
The film fraternity was quick to stand by the nation's defenders, showcasing a united front. Actor Riteish Deshmukh and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar were among the first to react. Deshmukh proudly posted on X, 'Jai Hind Ki Senahellip Bharat Mata Ki Jai!!! #OperationSindoor.' Bhandarkar shared a similar sentiment, writing, 'Our prayers are with our forces. One nation, together we stand. Jai Hind, Vande Mataram.' Veteran actor Paresh Rawal conveyed his respect for Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a series of folded hands emojis on X.Known for her outspoken nature, actress Kangana Ranaut strongly backed the Indian Armed Forces. She posted on her X handle, "Operation Sindoor: Zero tolerance to terror. The Indian Armed Forces launched a precision mission, Operation Sindoor 9 terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu amp Kashmir neutralized (sic)." Ranaut also shared video clips of the Pahalgam attack and a segment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech promising a firm response. On her Instagram stories, she added, 'Jo hamaari rakhsha karte hain, ishwar unki rakhsha kare (May God protect those who protect us). Wishing our forces safety and success #operationsindoor.'
The outpouring of support continued with Akshay Kumar sharing a concise message: "Jai Hind. Jai Mahakaal!" Riteish Deshmukh also posted on X, "Jai Hind Ki Sena...Bharat Mata Ki Jai!" while Nimrat Kaur affirmed her support by writing, "United with our forces. One country. One mission." Singer Adnan Sami, who became an Indian citizen in 2016, tweeted, 'Jai Hind!! #OperationSindoor,' unequivocally backing the armed forces.
The Indian Army's official social media handle encapsulated the mood with a powerful statement: 'Justice is served. Jai Hind.' This, along with affirmations from Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, highlighted a unified national pride in the army's decisive action.

What Was Operation Sindoor?
The Ministry of Defence announced 'Operation Sindoor' on Wednesday morning. The operation involved targeted strikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, identified as bases for planning attacks against India. "A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched 'OPERATION SINDOOR', hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed,' the Ministry stated. It was emphasised that "Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted." This action was a direct consequence of the "barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack" on April 22.The collective voice of Bollywood amplified the nation's gratitude and respect for the armed forces, reinforcing the message of unity and resilience in the face of terror.
