The Ba***ds Of Bollywood has won over the internet, and fans cannot stop praising Aryan Khan and his bold mastermind. With many scenes created from real-life references, one of them that garnered several eyeballs was the debutant director mocking IRS Officer Sameer Wankhede in the first episode.
Following the show's success, Wankhede has now filed a defamation case against Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for defaming him in Red Chillies Entertainment-backed The Ba***ds Of Bollywood.
The plea, which also named OTT giant Netflix and other names, the ex-NCB officer called Aryan's show 'false, malicious, and defamatory'.

The officer moved Delhi High Court against the actor and claimed the series 'disseminates a misleading and negative portrayal of anti-drug enforcement agencies, thereby eroding public confidence in law enforcement institutions."
Further in his plea, Wankhede emphasised that the show has been "deliberately conceptualised and executed with the intent to malign Sameer Wankhede's reputation in a colourable and prejudicial manner."

"Furthermore, the series, inter alia, depicts a character making an obscene gesturemdashspecifically, showing a middle finger after the character recites the slogan 'Satyamev Jayate', which is part of the National Emblem. This act constitutes a grave and sensitive violation of the provisions of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, which attracts penal consequences under law," a statement from Sameer read.
Sameer Wankhede has further demanded damages worth 2 crore, which he claimed would be directly donated to Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital for cancer patients.
More about Aryan Khan's case
Shah Rukh Khan's son is embroiled in a high-profile drug case with the former Narcotics Control Bureau zonal head, Sameer Wankhede. In 2021, Aryan was arrested on a cruise for allegedly possessing and consuming drugs.
However, the case took a rather dramatic turn when the former officer was accused by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of attempting to extort INR 25 crore from the Khan family in exchange for lenient treatment for the star kid.
Nevertheless, Wankhede denied the allegations. As for Aryan, he was granted bail after spending 26 days behind bars.
