While fans were initially excited about the pairing of Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani for this new chapter in the iconic franchise, recent developments have stirred up the casting pot. Following Kiara's happy pregnancy news, reports now strongly suggest that rising star Sharvari Wagh is set to step into the spotlight as the film's leading lady.

A New Leading Lady Emerges

It was big news when Kiara Advani was confirmed to star alongside Ranveer Singh in Farhan Akhtar's directorial venture. However, shortly after announcing her pregnancy with husband Sidharth Malhotra, whispers began about her potential departure from the action-packed project. A source revealed to the publication, 'Sharvari and one more actress were being considered. But she has managed to bag the role. The team at Excel Entertainment are excited to have her on board. Sharvari, too, is quite kicked to be a part of such a huge franchise and also because it's different from Alpha, though both are slick action films.'

This casting is a significant milestone for Sharvari, who is steadily building an impressive filmography. Her recent horror-comedy Munjya struck gold at the box office, and anticipation is high for her role opposite Alia Bhatt in Yash Raj Films' Alpha, part of their expanding Spy Universe.

The insider also touched upon her likely return for Maha Munjya, the sequel to her hit film, and another significant project: 'Though it is not announced yet, it is a given that she'll be back with Maha Munjya and some other film of this universe. Alpha, meanwhile, belongs to the YRF Spy Universe it needs no introduction. And Don 3 too belongs to a series that has got a lot of love from the people.'

Furthermore, her career choices seem strategically diverse. 'Sharvari is choosing her scripts wisely and associating herself with films that would excite the audience. Apart from Alpha and Don 3, it is said that she has also signed Imtiaz Ali's next. By doing so, she is also dabbling into different genres,' the source added.
