Here are 4 reasons why you should watch the film right now:
1) Zoya Akhtar makes a return to films after 2019
Everyone loves a good Zoya Akhtar adventure. Over the years, she has proven why she is a master storyteller by knitting engaging stories about modern life that make everyone go 'wow'. Her last film, Gully Boy, became a sensation for brining out the underground rap scene in Mumbai by telling a hard-hitting story of rags to riches that resonated with everyone.
Now, she comes back to making films with The Archies after making Made in Heaven Seasomn 2 and Dahaad in between, both of which were successful web-shows. Her name itself is enough to make you want to revel in the world she creates, and with The Archies, she is breaking new ground by going on a dreamy teenage adventure.
2) Spurringly fresh music, which is a treat to the ears
The Archies is a musical teenage romance, and naturally, it has a lot of songs playing along during the film. There is a lot of song and dance in the style of the old Hollywood musicals. When all of that is brought together with the storytelling of Zoya, it just makes it a perfect treat.
The music of the film is composed by Ankur Tewari, The Islanders, Aditi Saigal, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. There is much to admire in the world that the music creates that will keep you entertained throughout.

3) Stunning visuals that have a tint of nostalgia spread all over
The film is filled with colorful visuals that feel like they have been taken out of a comic book. It is a visual treat to watch the story unfold with such breathtaking reenactment of the 1960s in a youthful and vibrant way. There is a certain newness to the images and an added layer of nostalgia, making it further engaging.
Cinematographer Nikos Andritsakis and director Zoya have worked really well to create the spectacular world of the film that is difficult to look away from the screen.
4) It is based on the insanely popular Archies comics.
Archies is a comic that has left an undefeated mark in the minds of the generation growing up in the 1960s and 1970s. Set in America, the comics were largely popular in the cities of India, for they presented a different outlook and feel that was missing in the entertainment scene at that time. The iconic characters from the comics have now been adapted for film for an entirely new generation.
With a solid base of comics, the film doesn't fail to entice and create memorable scenes with the characters that will stay with them for a long time.
