Vocalist-guitarist Saurabh Roy, bassist Shalom Benjamin and drummer Jeremy D'souza better known as the pop indie trio from Mumbai, The Lightyears Explode, offer a roaring escapade from a situation nobody really wants to confront, with their latest single, 'Satire'.

Featuring 70's esque rock guitars, Sly+The Family Stone style funk bass, gunshot drums and rhythmic pop inspired vocals, the songwriting is solace and respite from being trapped in a state of mundanity and hopelessness. The track is the first release from the band's upcoming EP, 'Mellow'.

'Satire' seems inspired from the monotony brought by the ongoing pandemic which has witnessed patience and perseverance wear themselves out, with every passing day.

Produced By Achint Thakkar, mixed by Ganesh Singaram and mastered By Richard Lake, the artwork of the song has been conceptualized by Harmeet Rahal.
