Kolkata-based dreampop artist Sayantika Ghosh aka Ghoshpop has released her latest single, 'Samurai', a celebration of the diametrically opposite characteristics of an individual, the yin and yang within which propel him towards the direction he wishes to tread upon.

Written by Ghosh and Aman Moroney, the song was conceived at a time when Ghosh had stumbled upon a creative block during her process, She asserts, 'I wrote this at a time when I was very disturbed, which had landed me in a creative block. One part of me would tell me to take it easy and have fun with the process while the other told me to get the hell out of my limbo and keep trying, pushing harder every time! Samurai was the first song I wrote in that span of 3 months, after I finally found balance within myself. I owe it to this song for showing me the way!'

Produced by Moroney and Ashish Manchanda for Springboard Records, 'Samurai' reiterates how it takes the goodness and the grey shades of an individual for him to attain personal fulfillment in life. The song is Ghosh's third release in 2020 after 'Embrace Yourself' in English and 'Aami Banglar' in Bengali. The singer/songwriter made her foray into the Indian indie music scene last year with her four-track EP, 'Yesterday Forever'.

'Samurai' is now playing on Radio City Freedom.
