Jiah Khan Death Verdict OUT: Sooraj Pancholi Acquitted Of Abetment Charges, CBI Sets Him Free

Almost a decade after she was found hanging in her apartment, the special court of CBI announced a verdict today on the Bollywood actress Jiah Khan suicide case, in which her boyfriend and star kid Sooraj Pancholi was pointed to be the culprit. The Hero actor who was charged with abetment has been acquitted of the charges and is set free.

For the unversed, Sooraj Pancholi is the son of popular Bollywood actor-couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. Ahead of the Jiah Khan suicide case verdict, the actor was seen leaving his home for the CBI court in Mumbai.
The late actress was known for some of her prominent performances in movies like Nishabd, Housefull, and more.
Amidst the case and hearings, Sooraj took to his Instagram stories and shared a cryptic post that read, "The truth always wins." Have a look.
On the contrary, before the verdict was announced, Jiah Khan`s mother Rabia said, "Let’s see what court comes up after ten years. I want truth to be installed Jiah Khan did not take her own life We have spent 10 years exposing the truth based on factual evidence. Now it is up to the court to draw the right conclusions."
The Mumbai Police later arrested the star kid for abetment of suicide under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 306. Since Jiah`s death, her mother Rabia Khan has been fighting for justice. A key prosecution witness in the case, Khan told the court she believes this to be a murder and not a suicide.
Section 306 of IPC also states, "If any person commits suicide, whoever abets the commission of such suicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine."
Sooraj Pancholi is currently out on bail. According to the CBI, the six-page-long letter accusing the actor was written by Jiah Khan. The letter mentioned Sooraj`s "intimate relationship, physical abuse, and mental and physical torture" to Jiah that forced her to commit suicide, said the central agency.
Sooraj Pancholi, however, declined all the charges filed against him and called them false allegations.

Jiah Khan Suicide Case: What Actually Happened
