Action Taken Against Mohan Babu 22 Years After Actor Soundarya`s Death

Telugu veteran Mohan Babu in trouble
Over two decades after Sooryavansham actress Soundarya`s death, Telugu veteran Mohan Babu finds himself in trouble after a police complaint was filed against him in connection with her demise.
For the uninitiated, Soundarya died in a plane crash on April 17, 2004. She predominantly worked in the Kannada cinema but garnered popularity in Amitabh Bachchan`s Sooryavansham, in which she played the role of Radha.
Both Soundarya and her brother died a tragic death in the plane crash. She and her brother Amarnath were on their way to a political event when the jet crashed. She was 31 and pregnant at the time.
Now, some serious allegations have emerged against Telugu actor Mohan Babu. A police complaint has been filed against him in Andhra Pradesh`s Khammam district, alleging the late actress`s death wasn`t accidental but a murder linked to Babu`s property dispute.
Complainant Chittimallu has accused the veteran actor of pressuring Soundarya and her brother to sell six acres of land in a village near Shamshabad. However, the siblings refused to do so, leading to a major conflict between the two actors.
Chittimallu revealed that after the actress`s death, Mohan Babu forcefully acquired the land and took full possession of it.
No FIR has been registered in the matter. It is yet to be known how the complainant is related to both the actors. Demanding a fresh investigation into Mohan Babu`s role in the alleged land grab, the complainant urged the state government to seize the land.
Furthermore, the complainant has also marked his concerns to the Khammam Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and the District Officer, requesting police protection citing death threats.
Mohan Babu`s ongoing dispute with his son, Manchu Maoj, was also highlighted in the complaint. Neither Mohan Babu nor his team has commented on the statement.
On the work front, Mohan Babu is gearing up for his next release, Kannappa.
