At the recently hosted trailer launch event for Animal, the star cast of the film was present. Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol shared some more details about their characters in the film.
At the same time, questions about director Sandeep Reddy Vanga`s previous films, Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy, came up. Rashmika Mandanna answered her perspective about these films, which received some criticism at the time of their release.
Praising Sandeep, she said, "When I watched Kabir Singh or Arjun Reddy, I didn`t think they were violent films. They were high in intensity. The same is true with animals, where you see a little bit of violence. The film is also high on emotions. Sandeep, as a director, is unapologetically real. People sugarcoat things for the screen; he doesn`t do that."

Further, she added, "It`s so amazing because nobody else does that in cinema. He is a very smart director. Why there is so much anticipation for the film is only because we are living people`s lives, which is so real to the core, and we are nothing to lie about those characters".
Ranbir Kapoor was also asked if he had seen Kabir Singh. To which he said that while he felt that Kabir Singh was really powerful, his decision to do Animal was only because the script really influenced him.
In another interview, he said, "My character in `Animal` does possess some of the traits typically associated with Sandeep Reddy Vanga`s protagonists. My character is indeed tough and uncompromising in certain aspects. However, what sets him apart are the layers of complexity and depth that have been woven into his character."
He further went on to state how his character differs from Kabir Singh.
Animal Trailer has gripped everyone with its sheer intensity. The film releases on December 1 and has received an `A` certificate owing to its mature themes. The runtime of the film is 3 hours, 21 minutes. It also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Shakti Kapoor in important roles.
The film clashes with Sam Bahadur at the box office, which stars Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. It is directed by Meghna Gulzar.
