Shahid Kapoor Reveals That He Didn`t Like Himself In Padmaavat, The Reason Will SHOCK You!

Shahid Kapoor, who is currently engaged in promotions of his latest project Bloody Daddy revealed that he didn`t like his character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s historical drama Padmaavat. The film was released in 2018 and faced a lot of controversies. It also starred Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh along with Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
Shahid Kapoor portrayed the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh meanwhile Ranveer and Deepika played the roles of Alauddin Khilji and Padmaavati respectively. Lately, in an interview, Shahid stated that he didn`t like his role in the film, and what he said next will shock you!

Shahid Kapoor Discloses He Was `Uptight` In The Film
Undeniably Shahid, Ranveer, and Deepika`s historical drama was a massive hit at the box office even after facing a lot of legal battles. The film impressed the audience with magnificent performances. Even though people loved Shahid in a completely new avatar, seems like the actor didn`t like himself in the film.
Recently, in an interview with a leading media agency, Shahid shared his experience and how the character made him feel. When Shahid was asked to admit one character of his that he would like to revisit and play differently, he said he would like to replay the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh.
Shahid opened up and said, "I did not like myself. I was so uptight. I think I did not bring out other elements of that personality, I got stuck in a headspace. I am being candid, maybe other people liked me, but I did not."
Shahid Says He Felt Like An Outsider
Shahid even shared how he felt like an outsider on the sets of Padmaavat. He told, “I’m used to being the favorite of all my filmmakers. This was the first time that I was like an outsider. When you work with a team that has worked together, you are kind of an outsider and it takes time for you to break through that barrier.”
Meanwhile, Shahid`s Bloody Daddy also stars Diana Penty and Sanjay Kapoor in crucial roles and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film is slated to release on Jio Cinema on June 9.
