Shilpa Shetty reveals her son Viaan is a big Rohit Shetty fan
This new year has some interesting web series and OTT content lined up. One of them is Rohit Shetty`s OTT debut, Indian Police Force. The upcoming web series is headlined by Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi.
As the web series nears its release date, Shilpa Shetty reveals her real inspiration: being a part of the Indian Police Force.
Apart from being an incredible actress and a fitness enthusiast, Shilpa is a doting mom to her two kids, son Viaan Kundra and daughter Samisha Kundra. She welcomed her first child in 2012 with her husband, Raj Kundra.

She said her eleven-year-old son is extremely excited to see her play a cop in the upcoming web series.
“My daughter (Samisha Shetty Kundra) is too young. She isn’t even allowed to watch television. She’s just three-and-a-half. Viaan has just about started watching movies in the last three years. And he loves Rohit’s films. He has now become an avid Bollywood watcher. I did the Indian Police Force for Viaan, along with all the women in our forces who put in so much unconditional and selfless work. This series is an ode to my son,” said the actress.
For the uninitiated, Shilpa Shetty played the role of a doting mom and a homemaker in Sukhee, who goes on a wild, free-spirited trip to find herself.

Amidst her hectic schedule, it almost became impossible for the actress to give a positive nod to the Indian Police Force. She said, “When I was offered the series and told Viaan about it, I wasn’t going to be able to adjust because I was on a marathon eight-day schedule in Chandigarh for Sukhee. I couldn’t change those dates around, but Rohit came on a horse, saying that he had to shoot a certain combination, and it was just a mad time.”
Crediting the Sukhee team for being adjusting and understanding, Shilpa appreciated the producer of Sukhee`s undying support.
“I told Vikram Malhotra (producer of Sukhee), ‘Please take a seat. This is an offer that I got. It’s an original series. And Rohit is directing it.’ He went white in the face because it meant keeping the unit waiting for four days. I left Chandigarh and flew to Mumbai to shoot the Indian Police Force, went back to Chandigarh, shot for Sukhee, and then came to Mumbai again to shoot for the show for three days. I was also shooting for India’s Got Talent at that time,” she further added.
Recalling the time when she juggled between several projects, Shilpa Shetty said her character in the Indian Police Force persuaded her to give her best.
“I just went mad as a professional and a mother! But it was worth all the effort. Tara Shetty beckoned to me. Moreover, my son got really excited when I was offered the series! The Indian Police Force is for him. Playing Tara made me realize that being a cop isn’t an easy job. Apart from being really brave, you`ve got to be made from a different kind of metal to don the khaki uniform,” the Hungama 2 actress concluded.
Rohit Shetty`s Indian Police Force is all set to stream on Amazon Prime Video on January 19.
