The Railway Men Trailer: A Thrilling Look Into the Bhopal Gas Tragedy

Films and web series about real incidents are always fascinating to look into. Especially when they are telling the story of a time of devastation in history that was caused by human errors, it becomes ever more striking. The Bhopal Gas tragedy was one such incident that left a bloody mark on the history of India in 1984.
The Railway Men looks at the tragedy through the eyes of four men who work for the railways. Kay Kay Menon plays a ticket collector, while Babil Khan just joins the railways as the loco motive pilot. Divyendu Sharma works as a worker at Bhopal Junction. The trailer shows life in Bhopal before the tragedy. Then it moves to show when the gas leak begins.
That`s when R. Madhavan comes along, driven by the hope of saving people in this deadly calamity. The mini-series also stars Juhi Chawla, who plays a politician. It is a striking tale of ordinary people coming together to save others who were left helpless due to the tragedy. It is set to release on Netflix on December 18 with all four episodes.

The series promises to be a heartbreaking affair that combines the devastation caused by the tragedy by looking at the lives of the four railway men. It marks the directorial debut of Shiv Rawail, with a story and screenplay written by Ayush Gupta.
Speaking about the experience of making the mini-series for Netflix, Shiv said, "Directing this series has been a deeply emotional and rewarding journey. It`s a story of the human spirit that needed to be told to remind people of the power of resilience in the face of adversity. I am truly humbled and honored to helm this series."
He also spoke about working with such a talented ensemble of actors. He added, "To be able to work with talent like R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Juhi Chawla, Raghubir Yadav, Divyendu, Babil Khan, and so many others in my very first outing as a director and for this series to reach a global audience through Netflix is truly a dream come true."
