In an exclusive interview to radiocity.in, the cast of Kapoor and Sons spilled the beans about their real selves behind their larger-than-life personas. When quizzed, Sidharth Malhotra confessed that Fawad Khan is nothing like his deep, brooding self which he displays before the cameras. He said, 'It is an act that he puts up. He has a funny bone. While shooting an emotional scene, he would burst out laughing making it difficult for us to shoot.' Sidharth also added that Fawad is not a morning person and that he despises waking up early. On receiving unprecedented love and adulation in India, Fawad expressed that he feels humbled and honoured. He said, 'I feel flattered to be given the sex symbol tag without having removed my shirt, winks as I did not expect such an overwhelming response from the audience.'Fawad was also asked about whether he prefers a clean shaven profile, like his look in Kapoor and Sons, or a bearded one, to which he quickly chose the latter. Contrary to public opinion, Fawad also believes that he is not a good singer but a good screamer. He said, 'I used to play for a metal band while in college and I used to love listening to Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down. So as a band, we would scream at the top of our voices while performing.'The trailer highlights the love-hate relationship that Fawad and Sidharth share as brothers. On speaking about their casting and equation, Sidharth said, 'We knew that we were being casted in a movie which has an ensemble cast and therefore, each character would play a crucial part to the story. So when I met Fawad, we had no such reservations. We got along well instantly. We would improvise our lines and scenes together, talk about our different passions, cultures, food and languages. He has a favorite word called 'masla' problem in Urdu which he uses very often. Infact, I've saved his name in my contact list as Fawad Masla laughs.'Alia Bhatt added, 'Kapoor and Sons looks into a completely different perspective about the modern-day family which has not been told yet. Which is why I decided that I wanted to be a part of it.'The trio were quick to reveal that Sidharth possesses the talent for mimicry. Alia revealed, 'You can talk and he will observe you. Within five minutes, he'll start talking like the way you do. Infact, he mimics Akshay Kumar Sir very well'.Alia further revealed that Sidharth is extremely open and talkative which is quite contrary to the perception that he seems reserved. 'He is diplomatic but he can talk for long that we have to tell him to stop.'Recently, Alia and Sidharth made headlines for their extremely sizzling photoshoot. Speaking about the comfort level they share, Alia stated, 'Since Sidharth has been a model, he was very comfortable throughout the shoot though he would fuss about a few nitty-gritty things. On the contrary, I was the one asking him tips on how to get through the whole process.'Reacting to a few controversial statements that they received for their photoshoot, Sidharth said, 'It is understood if you have a take on what we do professionally but getting personal is not correct.' Alia, on the other hand maintained that ignorance is bliss. Fawad was also asked about how does he react to indecent proposals online, to which he responded, 'I am not active on social media per se. Secondly, if I do come across such a thing, I simply ignore it. I choose not to respond to it at all.'The interview was concluded with a game of rapid fire, Alia and Sidharth pointed out that it was Rishi Kapoor and Fawad who were the biggest foodies. Alia also emerged as the loudest and most fun person on the set while Sidharth was known as the best cricketer among the cast and crew.
