Kamal Haasan Praises Fahadh Faasil`s Maareesan, Calls It Inventive Cinema

Fahadh Faasil is busy promoting his upcoming movie, Maareesan, a thriller comedy that revolves around a thief's relationship with his next victim, who suffers from Alzheimer's. The movie also sees actor Vadiveli in a leading role.

Now, Kamal Haasan has sung praises for the Sudheesh Sankar directorial, calling it "inventive" and "spirited". The legendary actor took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared his two cents about the film.

He had a brief conversation with the cast of Maareesan and congratulated them. While the Tamil comedy-drama is scheduled to release on July 25, Haasan had an early sneak peek of the film.

Taking it to X, he wrote, 'Watched Maareesanmdasha film that dances effortlessly between wit and depth, leaving me laughing, thinking, and admiring its craft. Had a wonderful conversation with the team to congratulate them on this delightful creation.'

The Thug Life actor lauded the sub-plot of society's take on human emotions and highly appreciated it.

His tweet further read, 'Beneath its humour lies a socially conscious lens on human emotion and a keen gaze at the darker shadows of our society. The kind of inventive, spirited cinema I naturally gravitate towardsmdashboth as viewer and creator.'

His tweet increased the anticipation among cinephiles, with many netizens trusting his Maareesan review. One user wrote, 'If legendary Haasan is saying this, then it must be true,' while another commented, 'If Fahadh picks a script, there is definitely something on the story.'
