Filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma recently spoke to RJ Salil from Radio City Mumbai, while promoting his upcoming release, 'Dangerous: The Killer Affair', which is touted as India's first lesbian crime action film.

When asked about how did the imposed lockdown give him an opportunity to introspect upon his career choices, the 'Rangeela' and 'Satya' director said, 'I think human beings are capable of adapting soon enough, no matter what the situation is. Some of them are faster, some are slower depending upon their personalities and sensibilities. I'm very impatient as a person. I need to get things done. Hence, I have been over productive in the last two years or so. I started working upon what kind of films can be made given the current conditions.'

Given that most of his films feature dark characters, when asked if Verma is alike his characters in real life, the director added, 'I was quite shy and timid in my school days. But I was always fascinated by the world of movies. Which is why when I would see some students indulge in bullying at school, I would not view them as bad people but as rebels who were very cool. I suppose my fascination towards dark characters started from there.'

'Dangerous: The Killer Affair' stars newcomers Apsara Rani, Naina Ganguly and Rajpal Yada. The film will premiere on the filmmaker's own OTT platform titled, Spark.
