Pooja Hegde reveals why cop movies appeals the masses
One of the most anticipated movies of the year, Shahid Kapoor starrer Deva, finally released in cinemas today on January 31. The movie revolves around the life of a fierce cop who is on a mission to eradicate bad guys. The film also stars Rosshan Andrrews, Pooja Hegde, and Pavail Gulati in prominent roles.
While the plot sounds similar to those of previous Bollywood cop movies, the film has more to offer beyond mainstream action and drama. Deva reviews on X (formerly Twitter) have been pouring in, and fans are loving it.
Now, in an interview, Pooja Hegde revealed some secrets about why cop movies attract the masses and work well at the box office. Talking to IANS, the actress opened up about the genre`s enduring appeal across all age groups.
“A good film is a good film, and you can’t keep a good film down," she said. Hegde further added that the universal fascination with cop films may stem from their mysterious nature of work.
She said, “Maybe it’s the flavour of the season, or perhaps it’s the mystery surrounding what these officers do. We’re naturally intrigued by them.”
