Vicky Kaushal has largely and quickly established himself as an actor to look out for with his stunning performances in films like URI: A Surgical Strike, Raazi, Sanju, Manmarziyaan, and many more. He is gearing up for the release of his yet another promising performance in Sam Bahadur, which is directed by Meghna Gulzar.
However, Vicky Kaushal is critical of his own work and strives to become better by analyzing what went wrong in some of his performances. In a recent interview, Vicky Kaushal revealed the one performance that he didn`t like at all. It was the role of a complex police officer in Anurag Kashyap`s Raman Raghav 2.0 that was released back in 2016 when Vicky was just 25.
He said, "To be very honest, I still feel that is my worst performance to date because at that time I felt like I hadn`t lived through life experiences to get into the character`s skin." He believed that with the maturity he gained with age, he would approach the role differently.
On this, he reflected more and said, "I fortunately come from a protective upbringing, and that is not what my character`s life was. At the age of 25, when I was playing that part, there was a little bit of a gap that I had to fill to understand." Although he felt that he gave his ultimate best from his understanding at that time, he could have added much more nuances to it.

Raman Raghav 2.0 was based on the life of a real-life serial killer, Raman Raghav, who caused havoc on the street. It starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the titular role, along with Vicky Kaushal and Shobita Dhulipala.
Meanwhile, Sam Bahadur also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in important roles. Fatima plays the role of Indira Gandhi, while Sanya Malhotra plays the wife of Sam Manekshaw. Based on the life of Army General Sam Manekshaw, the film chronicles his life amidst an important period during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.
Sam Bahadur releases on December 1 and clashes with Animal at the box office. It has received an `UA` certificate from the censor board and has a runtime of over 2 hours and 30 minutes.
