January started on an intense note, thanks to Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. A high-octane action drama became a massive blockbuster. The film saw a theatrical release on January 12.
Guntur Kaaram has dropped on Netflix, and you can stream anytime and anywhere you like. However, it was less than a month after its theatrical release that the Mahesh Babu starrer saw an OTT release.
The film clashed with HanuMan, starring Saindhav and Naa Saami Ranga, which managed to do decent business at the box office.

Making an initial announcement on X a few days ago, Netflix India wrote, “It is about to get very hot in here because Rowdy Ramana is here and he is on fire. Guntur Kaaram is coming to Netflix on February 9 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. #GunturKaaramOnNetflix.”
More about Gunturur Kaaram
The action-drama film marks Trivikram and Mahesh Babu’s third professional collaboration after Athadu and Khaleja. The film received mixed reviews after its theatrical release.
However, through Sankranti, Guntur Kaaram picked up the business gradually and remained stable. The film was doing better in Andhra Pradesh than in the international markets and Telangana.
The film revolves around Mahesh Babu, a rowdy from Guntur who lives away from his estranged mother, played by Ramya Krishnan. When his politician grandfather (Prakash Raj) asks him to cut all remaining ties with her, he becomes a rebel to find out why she abandoned him two decades ago.
There is tons of action, drama, intense dialogue, romance, comedy, dance, and everything in between.
Apart from Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela, Guntur Kaaram also features Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Raghu Babu, and Easwari Rao in prominent roles.
