<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Over two decades after Sooryavansham actress Soundarya`s death, Telugu veteran Mohan Babu finds himself in trouble after a police complaint was filed against him in connection <strong><a href="/entertainment/news/singer-kalpana-raghavendar-is-stable-doctors-issue-statement-14111" target="_blank" rel="noopener">with her demise</a></strong>.<br /><br />For the uninitiated, Soundarya died in a plane crash on April 17, 2004. She predominantly worked in the Kannada cinema but garnered popularity in Amitabh Bachchan`s Sooryavansham, in which she played the role of Radha.<br /><br />Both Soundarya and her brother died a tragic death in the plane crash. She and her brother Amarnath were on their way to a political event when the jet crashed. She was 31 and pregnant at the time.<br /><br />Now, some serious allegations have emerged against <strong><a href="/entertainment/news/chiranjeevi-faces-backlash-after-making-a-misogynyst-comment-at-a-recent-event-14051" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Telugu actor</a></strong> Mohan Babu. A police complaint has been filed against him in Andhra Pradesh`s Khammam district, alleging the late actress`s death wasn`t accidental but a murder linked to Babu`s property dispute.<br /><br />Complainant Chittimallu has accused the veteran actor of pressuring Soundarya and her brother to sell six acres of land in a village near Shamshabad. However, the siblings refused to do so, leading to a major conflict between the two actors.<br /><br />Chittimallu revealed that after the actress`s death, Mohan Babu forcefully acquired the land and took full possession of it.<br /><br />No FIR has been registered in the matter. It is yet to be known how the complainant is related to both the actors. Demanding a fresh investigation into Mohan Babu`s role in the alleged land grab, the complainant urged the state government to seize the land.<br /><br />Furthermore, the complainant has also marked his concerns to the Khammam Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and the District Officer, requesting police protection citing <strong><a href="/entertainment/news/kapil-sharma-gets-death-threat-from-pakistan-after-rajpal-yadav-and-remo-dsouza-14013" target="_blank" rel="noopener">death threats</a></strong>.&nbsp;<br /><br />Mohan Babu`s ongoing dispute with his son, Manchu Maoj, was also highlighted in the complaint. Neither Mohan Babu nor his team has commented on the statement.<br /><br />On the work front, Mohan Babu is gearing up for his next release, Kannappa.</p>

<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejasvi Surya <strong><a href="/entertainment/news/prajakta-koli-vrishank-wedding-groom-adorably-kisses-his-wife-to-be-see-pics--14085" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tied the knot</a></strong> with singer Sivasri Skandaprasad in an intimate ceremony on Thursday. The Bengaluru South MP`s wedding stayed away from the big media attention as it was attended by close family members and a select group of political leaders.<br /><br />For the wedding, the couple wore modest, traditional outfits to complement one another on their wedding day. The bright yellow Kanjeevaram silk saree <strong><a href="/entertainment/news/baby-john-actress-keerthy-suresh-marries-her-boyfriend-anthony-thattil-13936" target="_blank" rel="noopener">worn by the bride</a></strong> was beautifully paired with golden bangles, a maang tikka, and statement earrings.<br /><br />As for the groom, Surya opted for traditional attire in hues of white and gold.
