Iranian actress Mandana Karimi says "India has betrayed me"
Tensions in West Asia are rising as the Israel vs Iran conflict gets serious every passing minute. Amid the same, Iranian actress Mandana Karimi shared her views on the current situation. She plans to move back to Iran after she`s had a feeling that India `betrayed` her.
The Iranian-origin actress has been pretty vocal about the ongoing warlike situation in the Middle East. She recently confessed her decision to leave India and move back to Iran as soon as the regime changes.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Karimi highlighted that Iran has the potential of becoming a nation that "builds the Middle East".
She said, "What I see for Iran is a free Iran where women can do whatever they want, wear whatever they want, and go to whatever university they want to and study. I see Iran, which has a great relationship with the Middle East, and that we are not a threat to people. But we are a nation that builds the Middle East. The moment they announce that this regime is gone, I will go."

Mandana, who became a household name after her stint in Bigg Boss 9, said she`s looking forward to a different kind of Iran – the one where there will be limitless opportunities for women.
She also added that despite all the love she`s received from India, she has decided to "pack her bags and leave," as she feels voiceless in this country.
"Anyway, my bags are packed, and I am leaving India as well. That is the plan because I feel I am breaking up with India. It is very difficult for me because I came to India when I was really young. India has given me everything: my modelling career, my acting career, the love that I got, and the friends that I have. But I feel I don`t have a voice in India," the actress explained.
Mandana Karimi further revealed that she lost many friends in Mumbai after she voiced opposition to the Iranian regime and celebrated their leader, Khamenei`s killing.
"I feel India has betrayed me in a way. India has given me what it was supposed to give, and now it`s time to move on, and hopefully I am going to move to Iran," she shared.
