PM Narendra Modi on 25 Years of IIFA
The entire Indian cinema took the internet by storm with the 25th edition of the IIFA Awards. While many won big, what stood out was Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s special letter to the award body wishing for more success in the upcoming editions.
Prime Minister Modi penned a special letter to the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) for completing 25 years in Indian cinema. In the letter, he recognised IIFA`s journey and role in taking Indian cinema to a global stage.
For the uninitiated, the IIFA Awards 2025 were held in Jaipur on March 8 and 9. Filmmaker Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan co-hosted the event while the evening was graced by many superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Shahid Kapoor, among others.
PM Modi`s letter to IIFA
Taking to their Instagram handle, the award body shared a letter issued by the Indian prime minister, in which he lauded IIFA for completing 25 years in the Indian cinema industry.
In the special note, he recognised the efforts and talent of producers, directors, technicians, musicians, and other artists in making IIFA a global phenomenon.

"I am pleased to learn about the 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IFA) Awards. This two-and-a-half-decade journey reflects the commitment of all those who have contributed towards making IIFA a truly global phenomenon: producers, directors, artists, musicians, technicians, and other industry professionals, and most importantly, audiences worldwide," the letter read.

PM Modi further added, "Over the years, IIFA has not only celebrated the best of Indian cinema but has also played a crucial role in spreading its vibrancy to various iconic cities of the world. This has helped introduce the magic of Indian cinema to newer audiences while reinforcing India`s standing as a powerhouse of artistic excellence."
The Prime Minister also recognised the efforts of IIFA in celebrating Indian films by encouraging new and young talents in the industry.
The letter further read, "Platforms like the IIFA awards ensure that such cinematic brilliance is celebrated and encouraged. IIFA has also played a role in nurturing young and aspiring talent in the industry. By providing a platform where new artists, filmmakers, and technicians can showcase their craft alongside seasoned global professionals, IIFA has encouraged the next generation of artists to learn from the best as well as connect with them."

PM Narendra Modi concluded the letter by wishing the award body massive success for the upcoming editions.
"May this 25th edition of the IIFA awards be a huge success. May it be the inspiration for the next 25 years of growth and achievement," the letter ended with a heartfelt note.
At the 25th edition of IIFA, Kiran Rao`s Laapataa Ladies won big by sweeping awards in 10 categories. Kartik Aaryan won the Best Actor Award for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, while Nitanshi Goel took home the Best Actress Award.
