Universal Pictures has officially unveiled the first trailer for Jurassic World: Rebirth, the much-anticipated seventh installment in the legendary Jurassic franchise. Directed by Gareth Edwards, the upcoming film promises an exhilarating mix of action, adventure, and suspense. Leading the cast is Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson, who steps into the prehistoric world alongside British sensation Jonathan Bailey and two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali.
The newly released trailer offers a gripping introduction to the film’s high-stakes narrative. Johansson plays Zora Bennett, a covert operations specialist recruited for a perilous mission—retrieving the DNA of the last surviving dinosaurs. To accomplish this task, she enlists the help of palaeontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) and ex-military strategist Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali).
The trailer masterfully blends humour, fear, awe, and action as the trio navigates the dangers of a research facility abandoned after the fall of Jurassic World. In one heart-stopping moment, we see massive dinosaurs rising from the shadows, defending their dominion with primal ferocity.

The film’s plot revolves around a desperate final attempt to recover dinosaur DNA, which holds the key to a revolutionary medical breakthrough. As the trailer teases, the planet’s ecology has become inhospitable for dinosaurs, confining the surviving species to isolated tropical regions. The most colossal land, sea, and air creatures contain DNA that could change the future of medicine forever.
Apart from Johansson, Bailey, and Ali, the film also features Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in pivotal roles. Helmed by Rogue One director Gareth Edwards, Jurassic World: Rebirth is set to hit theatres this July.
