Saroja Devi Amma - An Indian actress who has acted in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies. She has acted in 200 films in over six decades.

2.  Jayanthi Amma - Popularly known by her mononymous stage name Jayanthi, was an Indian actress known for her work in Kannada cinema and Tamil cinema.  She has starred in over 500 films.

3.  Sandhya Amma - Sandhya is popularly known for her blockbuster films like 'Maya Bazaar'  and 'Krishna Leelalu'. When Sandhya was widowed, she followed the footsteps of her sister, Ambujavalli into acting. She subsequently encouraged her daughter, Jayalalitha J. to become an actress as well. Jayalalitha became extremely successful, both in her acting career and later in politics.

5. Jamuna Amma – The all in one an actress, director and politician who appeared mainly in Telugu films. She made her acting debut at the early age of 16 in Dr. Garikapati Rajarao's Puttillu (1953), and received her breakthrough with L. V. Prasad's 'Missamma'. Her portfolio also includes Hindi, Kannada and Tamil movies. She was also a Member of Parliament of the Lok sabha representing the Rajahmundry constituency.

6. Savitri Amma - Savitri Ganesan was an Indian actress, playback singer, dancer, director, and producer known for her work primarily in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She is reputed as the "First Female Superstar of South Indian cinema", she has starred in more than 250 films over three decades. She was one of the highest-paid and most popular actresses of the 60s.
